One PDF. The text will be extracted right here on this device.
Text extraction pulls every word out of a digital PDF as plain text — so you can copy a quote, feed content into another app, or repurpose a document without retyping.

Frequently asked questions
- Does this work on scanned PDFs?
- Only if the PDF already contains real text. For scans that are just images of pages, use the OCR tool instead, which reads text from the picture.
- Will the formatting be preserved?
- Extraction gives you the raw words as plain text — great for searching and reuse, but layout, columns, and styling aren't carried over.
- Can I extract text from one page only?
- The tool pulls text from the whole document; you can then copy just the section you need from the result.
- Is my PDF uploaded to extract the text?
- No. Text is read out of the file directly in your browser.
